"Bringing Back Discs & Learning a Lost Art"

In protest of Sony announcing the end-of-life of physical discs in PlayStation, Gamers Nexus sets up a "media factory" of sorts, to bring Blu-Ray, DVD, and audio CD dics to their store. I think this is a cool move, and I will definitely get some more stuff from them. Steve and the guys are doing good work.
Here is a quote from Sony's announcement:
As consumer preferences and the broader entertainment industry continue to shift away from physical discs to digital, physical game disc production for all new games releasing on PlayStation consoles will be discontinued starting January 2028. Following this date, new games will be available on PlayStation Store and at retailers in digital formats only.
Of course it is "consumer preferences" and not companies wanting to eg, kill games after they decide they would rather everyone bought something new. It is definitely not companies wanting to impose as abusive a DRM scheme as possible on people, taking away game installers, or pushing updates that break games without the possibility to revert to an earlier version.
It is, most assuredly, none of the above. Corporate overlords have only the good of the consumers in their hearts, and would, undoubtedly, never get up to anything shady.
