Not all file names that can be used on Linux can be used on Android. Beware the : and the ..
Ozro is not a game for everyone.
The cover image says it all.
Graphics in terminal? That is crazy talk!
"Grausame Töchter ist nicht nur eine Band. Grausame Töchter ist ein Angriff!" Despite the motto, no Annikas have been harmed at the concert.
I had the pleasure to see Vampyros Lesbos play live at Backstage club in München. It was a classy way to start the evening.
I quite like systemd.
I recently changed the way I use my disks, and this involved doing things with btrfs.
Translation of another A.J.K.S. track. This time it is Karaluchy Spalone Słońcem, which means Cockroaches burnt by the Sun.
A novel by Kazushige Nojima accompanying the Final Fantasy VII Remake games. I like FF7, but I expected the book to be typical video game related novel ie, nothing special. How wrong have I been...
So far, all of Houellebecq's novels I have read follow the same basic plot. Plateforme is not really any different to Les Particules élémentaires, and even in Extension du domaine de la lutte one can see the same pattern—although in a raw, experimental form.
"Atomised" is the second novel written by Michel Houellebecq. To me, it shares its theme with Whatever—Houellebecq's first novel—but explores it in more depth and from a different angle.
"Whatever" was definitely not a leichte Lektur. It is a strange book, but at the same time it felt not difficult at all to understand. Some parts of it, at least.
The book is about a 30 year old software programmer with a resigned view of life. Given the similarity to my own situation, the description piqued my curiosity.
Think about the classic Greek epics eg, Illiad or Odyssey: the stories are impressive, but you can also look at the text itself and find that the hexameter itself has a certain kind of beauty.
Iron Head is a Polish heavy metal core band. I saw them play at Piąty Dom in Katowice, Poland. While the band was not the headliner for the evening they absolutely stole the show.
It was on my radar for the longest time, and I have finally decided to pull the trigger and do it. I am going to learn OCaml.
Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, Slovenia has a small scene. I went there to see Kalandra and Lili Refrain (even though I wasn't aware that Lili would be the supporting act).
Translation of "Chciałbym być taki jak ja", which means "I would like to be like me". It is a song written by Krzysztof Sokołowski, best known as the vocalist of the Nocny Kochanek band, for his solo project.
The Hy programming language saw its first stable release yesterday. While not introducing any new semantics, Hy is a great improvement on Python's sometimes atrocious syntax.
The main idea in Jung's Psychology and Alchemy is that alchemists used alchemical processes as the means of projecting their inner psychological processes onto matter. Is a similar thing happening to computer programmers?
Translation of another A.J.K.S. track. This time it is Przychodzą Nocą, which means They Come at Night.
I have recently talked to a friend about the furniture I put in the apartment I rent. It is nothing fancy—almost everything I have lives on IVAR shelves from IKEA.
This is another rough translation of a A.J.K.S. track. This time the song is called Spokój which translates as calm or peace, or Ruhe in German.
This is a—very—rough translation of the "Radar Bocznego Wybierania" track by Polish death rap artist A.J.K.S. I did for a friend of mine who doesn't speak the language.
