Kalandra and Lili Refrain in Kino Šiška

Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, Slovenia has a small scene. I went there to see Kalandra and Lili Refrain (even though I wasn't aware that Lili would be the supporting act).
Kino Šiška
The Kino has a bar and a few tables to sit down by and talk to people. I liked the atmosphere; the floor plan is open, but it did not seem to be a problem.
Deeper inside, there is a small scene. I am no expert, but I liked how both concerts sounded—neither the music and not the vocals were distorted at any point.
Lili Refrain
I have listened to Lili Refrain before, and liked the music she makes, but I did not expect that I would be able to hear her live that evening. Was it a good surprise? Absolutely.
It is not trance music, but it is close. Almost shamanistic. I have very much enjoyed it.
Kalandra
Kalandra was great. I love the voice of Katrine Stenbekk (here is her website).
I felt a little bit sad that Katrine was so self-depreciating about the band as a whole at multiple times. "We are Kalandra, if you have never heard of us." Or, when the band played their cover of Helvegen, orignally by Wardruna, she started with "You probably have been waiting for this one song the whole evening." Why? They are making incredible music and should have more confidence!
